The PhD Nurse Scholarship project involves gene transfer to both in vitro and in vivo Alzheimer’s disease models with biochemical and/or electrophysiological or behavioural analysis depending on the candidate. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Neuroscience and will hold a BSc(Hons) or MSc in an appropriate discipline. The Nurse Scholarship candidate should express a strong desire to expand their knowledge in particular towards development and application of tools to manipulate gene expression in living neurons and models of neurodegenerative disease.
